We’re excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced veterinary nurse to join our friendly team at Fur Life Vet Tarneit on a part-time basis.

About the Position:

We’re looking for an experienced all-rounder veterinary nurse to join us in a part-time capacity.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role that includes both clinical nursing and reception/front-of-house duties. You’ll need to be confident in:

  • Monitoring anaesthetics
  • Pre- and post-operative care
  • Collecting and running blood/urine samples using Idexx machines
  • Dental procedures
  • Radiology
  • IV placement and fluid therapy
  • Administering medications
  • Admitting and discharging patients
  • Providing exceptional client service at reception, including booking appointments, handling enquiries, and processing payments

We’re looking for someone who is flexible, proactive, and enjoys the variety of supporting both the clinical and client-facing sides of the practice. Experience with ezyVet practice management software will be highly regarded.


About You:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Veterinary Technician Degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with well-rounded nursing skills
  • Passionate about surgery and anaesthetics
  • Confident in client communication and reception tasks
  • Committed to promoting a positive workplace culture
  • Enjoy mentoring and supporting others
  • Ready to step in and contribute from day one
