Our clinic has been serving the Armidale and New England region since 2004 and we pride ourselves on providing a high standard of professional treatment and care for both the patient and owner in a personal and relaxed environment. North Hill Veterinary Clinic is in Armidale, the heart of the beautiful New England Tablelands region of NSW. Armidale is a large regional city located halfway between Brisbane and Sydney and has its own airport 10 minutes from the centre. It is a beautiful region with a strong cultural and heritage identity, local produce and wine regions and impressive national parks so there is something for everyone. On your days off, there will be time to play sport, enjoy cultural activities, sample the local cuisine and wineries, explore some spectacular country, and build life-long connections in the community.

About the Position:

We are looking for a fantastic vet to complement our team!

  • Varied and interesting caseload – we really do see it all here! The practice is approximately 70% small animal, including companion animals, pocket pets, birds and wildlife and 30% large animal consisting of cattle, horses, sheep, goats, alpacas and even the occasional camel.
  • We are currently a 6-vet team with a strong support staff and a great clinic culture.
  • Flexibility in the role- fulltime, part time, small animal or mixed- discuss what your ideal position looks like.
  • Brand new clinic in the works for later in the year!
  • Opportunity to move into a leadership position in the future with the support of the current team and Apiam Future Leadership Programs.
  • We would love an experienced vet to join our team but are also welcoming applications from new graduates who want to be mentored in a supportive team environment.

About you:

You are a small animal or mixed animal vet who wants to work with a fantastic team in a true rural clinic with great clients and patients and an interesting caseload. You want to be part of a rural community and build great relationships with your team and with your clients. You need flexibility in your work and are looking for part time around your commitments or you are looking for a fulltime position. Or you are a vet who is interested in pursuing leadership opportunities in a clinic and are looking to be supported in moving into this role in the future.

What we can offer:

  • Competitive salary offered dependent on skills and experience however a new graduate vet can expect $75,000 + super. Experienced vets’ salary is dependent on experience- contact us to discuss your expectations.
