About the Position:

We are looking for a veterinary nurse to join our awesome team.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about implementing their high standards of patient care and can fulfill both hospital and surgical nursing roles. As well as this we are looking for someone who will be responsible for nurse administration and supervision of the nursing staff. This position would suit someone with 3+ years of nursing experience who is looking to further their career.

Full Time Permanent Position but we will also welcome applications from part time nurses.

Duties:

  • Nurse administration: manage nurse consultations and uphold nursing standards and protocols.
  • Hospital Supervision: collaborate with the hospital manager to guide and mentor hospital staff.
  • Hospital nursing: general care of patients as well as catheterization, blood collection etc. as required.
  • Surgical nursing: general surgical duties including admission, preparation, anaesthetic monitoring, X-ray assistance, equipment care etc.

What you’ll need to succeed:  

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technician Degree preferred but a veterinary nurse with the right experience is welcome to apply (and will be supported in gaining Cert IV qualifications)
  • 4+ years' experience with well-rounded nursing skills and experience with training and mentoring other clinical staff
  • Registered Veterinary Nurses are highly regarded.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive workplace culture and continuing to improve and grow our clinic. Leadership experience to help support our fantastic team.
