Scenic Rim Veterinary Clinic, Boonah- Mixed Animal Locum

Seeking a mixed animal locum vet for cover from February 2025.

Scenic Rim Boonah operates as a branch clinic under the broader support of our Scenic Rim Beaudesert Clinic.

Scenic Rim Vets Boonah is a truly mixed practice located in the beautiful Scenic Rim. Boonah is a growing area which is an easy 1 ½ hour drive to the centre of Brisbane and the Gold Coast and 30 minutes from Ipswich. It has all the facilities you need (including a small cinema!) and has kept its country town appeal with gorgeous scenery and national parks nearby. 

Located on the edge of town the clinic has cattle yards and crush, mare crush, yards and Portastock crush as well as full in-house diagnostics for those medical cases. Having a personal Sonosite ultrasound with multiple probes, DR X-ray and scope makes full work ups easy.  

Dates needed: February 2025- July 2025

Shift Details:

• 4- or 5-day week depending on your preference
• After hours with our Vetriage nurse triage service and excellent remuneration again dependent on your preference
• Sole charge required so we require a confident and competent vet. There will be back up support from other vets and our Scenic Rim Beaudesert clinic.
• Prefer 1-month minimum shifts but open to shorter or longer stints depending on what you have available

Additional Information

• Remuneration $80-90/hour depending on experience
• Accommodation provided
• Work car for use while working and for short trips around the region if required
• Flights or fuel paid
• Must be a confident mixed vet with a mix of 70% small animal, 30% large animal
