About the position:
We are looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor with the right cultural fit to join our team in Bendigo, in providing essential services to the animal health industry. This position reports to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager in our Bendigo location.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing daily operations in the warehouse to maximise productivity and meet daily operational goals.
- Work towards improvements in the warehouse function.
- Coordinating distribution activities and employees effectively and efficiently to satisfy internal and external customers
- Liaise between warehouse, customer service and key management contacts.
- Ensure workplace health and safety is maintained and policies and procedures are followed.
- Ensuring employees are aware of their key responsibilities and are held accountable for achieving these.
- Allocate and manage staff resources and coach and develop members of the warehouse and logistics teams.
- Coaching and developing members of the Warehouse team and leading by example.
About you:
- A desire to succeed and a great, positive attitude to complement and drive the culture of our team.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
- Transport and logistics experience would be beneficial.
- Proven experience as a team leader or in a supervisory capacity.
- Excellent attention to detail and the desire to improve processes.
- The ability to work independently and with autonomy but also to build productive professional relationships.
- Strong communication skills.
- A current forklift licence and drivers’ licence.
