Job Description

Are you a recruitment professional with a knack for connecting people and a passion for rural and regional areas and animal health? Do you love variety, thrive on meaningful conversations, and want to help shape the future of veterinary care in Australia?

Join Apiam Animal Health as a Recruitment officer and become part of a team that’s building something special — a network of thriving clinics and teams filled with happy vets, nurses, and support staff.

The Role

  • Be the matchmaker for our clinics - helping them find the right people and keeping them full of happy, fulfilled staff.
  • Inspire vet students to discover why rural and regional practice is the best job in the world.
  • Work closely with clinic managers and Apiam Business units to deliver smart, proactive recruitment strategies.
  • Teach and support teams with their own support staff recruitment.

About You

  • You have experience in full cycle recruitment and are innovative and excited about trying new ways to find staff across all platforms.
  • You are an excellent communicator and relationship builder. You connect easily with everyone — from kennel hands to CEOs.
  • You’re passionate about rural & regional work, community and animal health (a background in animal health or the veterinary industry is a bonus!)
  • You’re a multi-tasking genius who thrives on variety and wears many hats with ease. This is an admin heavy position and requires an efficient and organized mind.
  • You think outside the box and love exploring new approaches.
  • You are tech-savvy (Microsoft-friendly, across all socials and quick to learn new systems).
  • You’re collaborative, self-motivated, and bring a sense of humour to your work.

Why Apiam?

At Apiam, we’re more than just a veterinary network — we’re a community. You’ll be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team that values innovation, relationships, and real-world impact.

  • Flexible, autonomous role based in our Bendigo head office and working with our Business Improvement and People & Culture teams.
  • Work closely with animal health teams across Australia.
  • Opportunities to grow, lead, and shape recruitment strategy.
  • A meaningful mission: improving animal health and supporting rural communities.
