About Us:

Our veterinary clinic has been serving the Armidale and New England region since 2004, and we pride ourselves on providing a high standard of professional treatment and care for both the patient and owner in a personal and relaxed environment. Our clinic prides itself on coming together as a team to collaborate on cases and to work through problems together. We are a mixed veterinary clinic serving companion and farm animals of the region.

We have recently moved to a new location in a beautiful new purpose-built vet clinic and continue to offer a wide range of veterinary services for both small and large animals, including companion animals, exotic pets, wildlife, livestock, and horses.

North Hill Veterinary Clinic is in Armidale, the heart of the beautiful New England Tablelands region of NSW and is part of the expanding Apiam Animal Health group of regional and rural clinics that are committed to enriching the lives of animals, people, and communities. 

About the position:

  • Providing outstanding customer service over the phone and face-to-face.  
  • Welcoming clients and their pets to the clinic.  
  • Managing appointments for clinical staff.  
  • Liaising with vets and vet nurses to ensure efficient daily scheduling.  
  • Processing invoices and payments.  
  • Ensuring a neat and tidy presentation of the reception and waiting areas.  

About you:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a customer service role is essential. This is not a trainee position but requires an experienced receptionist ready to step in (with training of computer software, veterinary knowledge as required).
  • Part time with a minimum 68 hours per fortnight worked as a 4-day week and every second Saturday shared amongst the team.
  • Vet clinic or animal care industry knowledge is advantageous but not essential- having a love for animals and understanding animal care is most important.
  • Must genuinely love helping clients, have strong communication and interpersonal skills and have a mature approach for tricky conversations! 
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.  
  • Computer, eftpos and banking skills required. EzyVet knowledge would be amazing!
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively contributing to a team environment.
