We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinary nurse to join our small animal practice in Gladstone on a casual basis.

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced veterinary nurse to join our team on a casual basis.

This is a hands-on nursing role where you’ll be involved in both hospital and surgical nursing duties. You’ll need to be confident in:

• Monitoring anaesthetics
• Pre and post-operative care
• Collecting and running blood/urine samples using Idexx machines
• Dental procedures
• Radiology
• IV placement and fluid therapy
• Administering medications
• Admitting and discharging patients

This casual role may become a permanent ongoing position in the future for the right person.

About You:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Veterinary Technician Degree is preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with well-rounded nursing skills
• Passionate about surgery and anaesthetics
• Committed to promoting a positive workplace culture
• Enjoy mentoring and supporting others
• Ready to step in and contribute from day one
