Mixed Veterinarian – Dalby & District Veterinary Services

We are a well-established and progressive mixed practice veterinary clinic offering general veterinary services for patients in Dalby and surrounds. We have a fun team and enjoy working together and learning from each other. Dalby & District Veterinary Services has a long history in the local community and is the combination of Knox Veterinary Clinic and Bell Veterinary Clinic- with years of providing veterinary services to the local community. We have ProDairy and ProFeedlot clients and have true production animal focused work along with our companion animal and hobby farm clients.

About the position:

  • Our case load is approx. 70% small animal, 30% large animal (cattle, small ruminants and equine)
  • Full time position worked as a four-day week
  • After hours requirements are one night per week and one in five weekends with support provided by our dedicated Vetriage team to help filter calls.
  • Team dynamic is very supportive with wide skill set amongst the existing vets and a fantastic group of support staff.
  • Work car and phone provided
  • This position is also eligible for the Feedlot Development Program (an 18-month Feedlot Development Program with bonuses for completion of $25,000 on top of your salary)- excellent for those interested in moving in to consultancy work with a base at a mixed clinic.

About you:

We require an experienced mixed practice veterinarian who wants to work in our local community to provide a high standard of care. We are after someone who is ready to jump into the mixed caseload as well as mentor and work with our team.

We are looking for positive individuals who are capable of working efficiently and conscientiously within a team environment. We have a fantastic group of vets and nurses who enjoy working together to provide a high level of mixed practice services to the community. We want someone who enjoys coming to work and being part of the team, who enjoys true mixed veterinary work and who wants to be part of a leading regional veterinary group.

What we can offer:

  • Salary range offered is dependent on skills and experience however a vet with well-established mixed practice skills can expect $80,000-$120,000 depending on experience
